Scuba Booties

Scuba booties come in sizes similar to when you buy shoes. Scuba booties should fit snug, but not to tight as pinching your toes or heels isn't a good thing especially when you’re in the water. You don't want pain in your feet when you’re underwater. Your feet are a vital part of your swimming so you need them to be comfortable. Depending on what kind of water you will be diving in will determine which scuba booties you will need to buy.

If your going into colder water you will need a thicker bootie to protect your feet. Warmer water will require a not so thick scuba bootie. The thickness is very important especially in the colder water as you don't want your feet getting cold and causing you trouble during your dive. Another consideration you will need to make is zipper or non zipper. This is very important for a number of reasons. Scuba boots are made of certain thickness and if you’re going into colder water you probably should consider the zipper kind. The warm water than you would be better off with the pull on ones. These are all consideration you will have to make when you purchase your scuba booties.

Upkeep is another thing you will need to consider especially the zipper part of your scuba booties. The water, salt and other chemicals can be real hard on zippers so protecting them is crucial if you want them to last a very long time. Rubber also needs protection and the best way to protect the rubber on your booties is to clean it after every dive. Now many times people won't do this and in the end this is a very big mistake. You must clean them after every dive to protect them and make them last alot longer. Just like anything you buy protect it and it will last you a very long time. If it goes unprotected than you will be buying another set of scuba booties fairly quickly and that is never fun.
