Dive Computers

Dive computers are a device that measures the time and depth of a dive so they can avoid decompression sickness. A dive computer is something every diver knows they need and will use alot. What exactly does a dive computer actually give you. Here is some of the things a dive computer can do for you.

It shows you your current depth. if you are like me and you have been with other divers it's best to know how far you are down instead of having to guess or have someone tell you what they think. Knowledge is king and having the depth reading is a great asset. It will also tell you the maximum depth you have reached so far on your dive. Probably one of the crucial numbers that it will give you is the time remaining without the need for decompression stops. Other things that are on dive computers are the water temperature. I think this is one of the more important features as sometimes when you are in the water you don't realize the water temperature has reached a certain level.

Dive computers let the scuba diver have all this information right at their fingertips. This is crucial especially when you need it in a moments notice. Right now their are many different dive computers and each one has something that you may like. Now most of these dive computers don't having everything you want so you will have to decide which fits best into your budget and works well with the kind of diving that you will be doing. It's all up to each individual and how they want to proceed.

Diving has become such a numbers driven hobby and sport anymore you need a dive computer no matter what anyone tells you. I've heard people say they are a waste of money and their are cheaper and better ways to figure the numbers out. I tell these people they are crazy and the best way to do it is with a dive computer no matter what others may tell you.
Grab yourself a dive computer and you won't give it a second thought about going on your next dive no matter where it's at or with who you are diving with.
