Now that you have all your equipment and you are ready for your first underwater adventure have you taken into account the physics of diving. Don't worry alot of people don't and this is a major mistake that could be fatal if they don't think about it. The physics of diving is very important and one we will get deeper into. Pressure is something you will encounter in the physics of diving and one you should know about. Pressure is how much force is put against our bodies and in the ocean this is a very important term to know. the deeper we go down below the higher the pressure is on our bodies. How is this important you may ask? The very simple explanation is when you go deeper in the water imagine more weigh hanging on your body. You get weighed down and many things can happen to your body if your not careful. That's why you are only allowed to go so deep in the water before things get real bad for you.

Have you ever noticed that companies will use submersible vehicles to go deep into the ocean's floor. It's real simple they can handle the pressure of that depth as the human body by itself just can't it's part of the physics of diving. Sound is another physics of diving that many people don't know alot about. Due to the fact that water is denser sound will actually carry faster and a longer distance in water. This is another factor of physics of diving that many people have no clue about. pressure though is still the biggest factor that you will have to worry about. The pressure of going deep into the water can kill you fairly quickly. Many people just don't realize that when you go below the surface the pressure builds on your body like you wouldn't believe.

Diving has it's rewards, but also it's risks and you must weigh all things into it before you decide what to do. Never go beyond your limits and you should have no problems at all. If you start to feel weak get out of their quickly and to the surface. Losing you life isn't worth it. Know your limits and enjoy diving and all it has to offer and you will grow a respect for the ocean and it's beauty.
