Dive Tables

Dive tables are printed cards or books that allow divers to determine the decompression stops required for certain dives so they don't get decompression sickness. Dive table recommendations are something many people should consider before they make a dive. Now you may ask yourself what good are dive tables for me. I don't know how many times I've seen people just dive into the water and go exploring without using dive tables or the benefits that they bring.

People don't realize that you can only have so much pressure on yourself and your equipment before that is the end for you. Dive tables can help you determine where that mark is depending on your dive. Even today many people still do not use these dive tables which I don't really understand. The more people use dive tables the more they will realize these were meant for them and to help them and not something to just add more for them to do. Safety is very important when you are talking about diving and dive tables are one of the tools you can use to stay safe even if it takes a few more minutes out of your schedule.

Dive tables are an essential part of any dive and now that more people are diving than every before these dive tables are becoming more readily used than ever before. New divers want to do it the right way and most are concerned with safety so they will use these dive tables at least to start out with, but in the future most of them will not use them as they feel it's an unnecessary burden that they don't want to deal with. Diving instructors use these dive tables so hopefully these people will learn how important they are. I'm sure down the road they will, but hopefully it won't be too late for people and nothing bad will become of their actions. You never really know though.

Dive tables will continue to be used and I guess in the end it's going to be up to the diver if they use them or not. I hope they do and will teach others to do the same so we have alot less tragic events in our oceans.
